Project
The Mocoa Cu-Mo porphyry deposit is located in the department of Putumayo, 10 kilometers to the north of the Mocoa municipality. The center of the property is at latitude 1°14′30″N and longitude 76°40′00″W. The UTM coordinates are 137,500N and 314,000E (geographic projection: WGS84, Zone 18N).

Project History
The Mocoa Project consists of four claims totaling 7,850 ha. It was discovered in 1973 through a UN–Colombian government geochemical survey.
Between 1978–1983, work included geological mapping, sampling, 31 drill holes (18,307 m), geophysics, metallurgical tests, and a pre-feasibility study (1984–1985) (not NI 43-101 compliant).
B2Gold later drilled 12 holes (6,890 m) during 2008 and 2012.
Recent Drilling by Copper Giant
In 2022, Copper Giant drilled the first hole at Mocoa in 10 years.
Drillhole MD-43 returned 1,229 m of 0.58% CuEq (0.42% Cu, 0.047% Mo) from 7 m to 1,236 m (EOH) (see April 19 and April 26, 2022 press releases).
Inferred Mineral Resource (Pit-Constrained)
The inferred resource contains:
- 636 Mt @ 0.45% CuEq (0.33% Cu, 0.036% Mo)
- Metal prices used: US$3/lb Cu, US$10/lb Mo
- Contained metal: 4.6 Blb Cu, 511 Mlb Mo
- Open along strike and at depth
Additional porphyry targets have been identified for follow-up drilling.
Resource Estimation Parameters
- Estimated following CIM Definition Standards
- CuEq% = Cu% + Mo% × 3.33
- Cut-off grade: 0.25% CuEq
- Recoveries: 90% Cu, 75% Mo
- Pit shell assumptions:
45° slope, $2.50/t mining cost, $2.00/t G&A, $10.00/t processing - Effective date: November 1, 2021
- Mineral Resources are not Mineral Reserves.
Environmental Consideration – Forest Reserve
A Regional Forest Reserve intersects the western portion of the deposit.
Under this constraint, a resource-limiting shell includes:
- 325 Mt @ 0.46% CuEq
(0.34% Cu, 0.036% Mo)
at 0.25% CuEq cut-off
Copper Giant must comply with Resolution 110 (Jan 28, 2022) to conduct exploration.
There is no guarantee on permitting outcomes.

QA/QC – Current Program
Copper Giant applies industry-standard QA/QC protocols, including:
- Secure sample transport from Mocoa to ActLabs Medellín
- 4-Acid digest AA analysis for Cu and Mo
- Pulps sent to ActLabs Guadalajara for ICP-MS multi-element analysis
- Routine insertion of: standards, blanks, duplicates
- Continuous QA/QC monitoring and data validation
No material QA/QC issues have been identified.
QA/QC – Historical Data Validation
The 2021 NI 43-101 report concludes:
- Historical programs used generally accepted industry procedures
- Data validated through visual checks, assay comparisons, and certificate review
- B2Gold’s 2008–2012 drilling included full QA/QC
- Consistency across all drill campaigns supports reliability
- The database is sufficiently accurate and precise for resource estimation
A detailed 2008 internal review by Strathcona Mineral Services (for B2Gold) also documented sampling, preparation, analytical methods, and security for historic drilling.
